
Dr. Nance’s journey began by studying the work of John Kabat Zinn and diving deep into insight meditation. Her path crossed with Dr. Judson Brewer, head of Brown’s Center for Mindfulness, in 2014 where she started collaborating with him on the Eat Right Now digital application that she now uses in her weight management program to help clients bring more mindfulness into their eating experiences. Through her work with Dr. Brewer, Dr. Nance has become trained to facilitate individuals working on smoking cessation through the Craving To Quit application and support people living with anxiety through the Unwinding Anxiety application. Dr. Nance is also certified to offer the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR).
